Nancy Miller
In her over 30 years as an intellectual property lawyer, Nancy’s focus has been on assisting clients with the clearing, protection and enforcement of their brands, not only in Canada, but around the world. Her clients span all fields of business, including foods, fashion, cosmetics, furniture, medical devices, and sports equipment.
She also counsels clients with copyright issues of all kinds, including licensing, enforcement, ownership issues, counterfeits and copyright infringement litigation. Nancy also specializes in Internet issues, including domain name infringement matters and on-line contests.
Nancy manages trademark and copyright portfolios of all sizes on behalf of her clients, and handles trademark opposition proceedings and cancellation proceedings before the Canadian Intellectual Property Office, and before the Federal Court.
Nancy also regularly negotiates and prepares a large variety of business contracts which pertain to intellectual property, including licensing agreements, domain name transfer agreements, confidential information agreements and website agreements.
